Repertoire for Preludio
Hello all! It’s been a while since I made a decent post, and for that I apologize. This Sunday I’m leaving to attend the Preludio violin camp at Ithaca College, where I will be staying on-campus for three weeks. I’m really looking forward to it, though it’s going to be a huge push to stay on top of things during the camp. I already have a list of repertoire I need to learn, so here are some of the pieces I’m currently working on.
- Song Without Words Op. 62 No. 1 - Felix Mendelssohn, transc. Kreisler
- Caprice #9 - Niccolo Paganini, 24 Caprices Op. 1
- Caprice #22 - Niccolo Paganini, 24 Caprices Op. 1
- Violin Concerto in E minor, Op 64 (mvts 2 and 3) - Felix Mendelssohn
I’ll also be doing various bowing exercises out of Sevcik’s 40 Bowing Variations, Op. 3. I think I will be performing all or most of these at some point during the next three weeks, so I’ll post videos if I get some or times and dates of concerts.
